Once upon a time, in the heart of a bustling city, there lived a married couple whose souls were stirred by a shared dream—a dream larger than life itself. Magda and Dave, bound by love and a thirst for adventure, pondered the ultimate question: What is our plan with our lives, and what would make us truly happy?
Amidst the hum of everyday life, they found themselves yearning for something more, something extraordinary—a vision or goal that would challenge, inspire, and ignite their spirits. And then it came to them: embark on a round-the-world overland trip, traversing continents and landscapes in a trusty vehicle which turned out to be a Landcruiser.
Their journey began long before they ever set foot on foreign soil. For over 15 years, Magda and Dave had explored the wilds of Africa, spending weeks at a time navigating rugged terrain and forging connections with the people and places they encountered. Their annual overlanding adventures had become a cherished tradition, fuelling their passion for exploration, and deepening their love for the road.
But now they dared to dream even bigger. With more than five years of continuous travel through South Africa for work under their belts, they felt ready to take on the world—to set sail for distant shores and embrace the unknown with open arms.
With unwavering determination, Magda and Dave sold their house, bid farewell to their belongings, and set their sights on the horizon. They knew the road ahead would be challenging, filled with twists and turns, highs, and lows. But they also knew that the rewards could be immeasurable—the freedom to roam, the thrill of discovery, and the joy of sharing their journey with the world.
